MOST LIKED POSITIVE REVIEW: Great durable, sensible, professional-looking option

My previous glasses frame cost more than 20x this one. They lasted about 8 years, but looked pretty atrocious after 4. Well, how times change! Thank God and the Internet for discount outfits like Zenni! I'd describe this frame as being about 95% the quality of the previous. When I got it, I figured that if it lasted 5 months, I'd already be ahead compared to my last pair. It has now been 5 months and I can with no hesitation say that these are a great option. The frame seems as good as new, and the lenses are, well, about like every other pair I've had. My prescription is a ~5 and I opted for the economical PC (polycarbonate) lenses and the thickness on the edges isn't too outrageous. The photo and description are a bit misleading in two ways. First, the front, hinge, and about 1" of the temples are "stainless steel". The rest of the temples are a tough plastic. The colors match but there is an obvious joint. It's not unsightly, but initially, the two parts would move in and out about 3mm with a bit of pressure, sliding on the thinner connecting bit of metal and making the frame feel "loose". The joint on both sides has since stiffened up and there is no more looseness. The frame has withstood a fair amount of mistreatment, so I have no qualms about the sturdiness of the design.Second, the photo makes the temples look quite bulky in proportion to the front. This was not nearly as obvious when I received the pair.If you're looking for a no-nonsense, sedate, durable and tough frame with spring hinges and adjustable nosepads, this will do the job.... I'm 68 and have been wearing glasses since I was 8 so I've bought a few pair. I was VERY nervous about buying this way and it took me many months to actually do it. I'm very glad I did! They fit great, the prescription is spot on and I could buy 2 or 3 pair for what I normally spend. Thanks, Zenni.

I was skeptical at first but tired of paying three to $400 locally for a pair of glasses. I am ecstatic that I was able to get a pair of glasses that look great, fit well, I can read with and see distance. They deliver as described and once I placed the order I had the classes in 1 week.

$5 per year and counting
  • Pros Comfortable ,   Durable
  • Best Uses Everything
  • Describe Yourself Casual

I have these with progressive lenses, UV and scratch resistant adds. 3 years, I wear them everyday for everything. Wrestling with grandkids, working in a wood shop, working on the car, dirt, sweat, dropped, hung from my shirt collar, no care taken what so ever. No scratches, no problems at all.

Decent with slight imperfection
  • Pros Fits Well ,   Comfortable ,   Stylish
  • Lens Tint Just Right
  • Cons Poor Quality
  • Best Uses General/Distance
  • Describe Yourself Casual

Overall, decent frame and lenses. Bought it during promo discount period. There was some sort of strand / string stuck between the spring joint of the glasses. In addition, some imperfection around how the pieces fit together are noticeable. However, these are minor enough to not warrant a return.
