Transitions vs prescription sunglasses
hace 2 díasOf course I like the style but I’ve tried three separate versions of transition lenses and they all have failed short of protecting my eyes from the sun without squinting.
I had extremely high hopes for functioning and useful transitions in the summer as I climb telephone poles for a living and my ladder set up has me staring nearly directly into the sun but the transitions never get nearly as dark as a prescription set and I’m left feeling blinded in the daylight.
When I directly put a UV light on the they get perfectly dark but I’m never that close to the sun and it’s always high UV index nearly all of the summer here.
Now I’m stuck between alternating sunglasses and glasses which isn’t the worst in the world but I was trying to mitigate the constant swapping between being indoors of a customers house and checking their wiring outside of their home and at the telephone poles.
Glasses themselves are great, transitions are… shiza
The less tinted lenses in my photos is full transition in UV index 8 and the dark ones are prescription.
