I thought that the transition lenses would go darker in general, and also darken while driving (I chose the specific ones that do so), but they don't go dark enough while driving or very little. Still a great happy purchase. After 2 years of use the plating of the legs starts coming off from the inside, and it is irritating to the skin, but I've used these glasses everywhere from water to sea to spa.
