2026 bifocals
hace 10 díasI really like my new glasses, nice fit, plenty of lens height to accommodate decent size of the distant and close up sections. My previous bifocals were not very useful due to the much smaller (less height) sections- my fault.

Great Custom Multifocal Readers
hace 7 mesesI've long needed something to wear over my contacts for reading, computer, and general indoor use - i.e., multifocal readers. The vast majority of modern life is conducted at less than 20 feet, yet doctors prioritize distance correction over all else, so virtually anyone over 40 needs some kind of reading aid even if perfectly corrected for distance.
Off the shelf options were either too strong at the top or too weak at the bottom. If I need +1.5 or +1.75 to read up close, that's fine, but I don't want 0.75 at the top. That's not suitable for "intermediate distance". Yet all the multifocal readers out there do just that - chosen power at the bottom then 1/2 that at the top. That means you're still taking them off to watch TV or do almost anything other than read or use the computer. Instead what I wanted was either true plaino or maybe a tiny plus at the top, and then an appropriate reading power at the bottom. Something I could wear over the contacts during the whole workday. That meant custom lenses.
But I also didn't want to have to go get a separate prescription and undergo what would likely be multiple additional visits just to find the best power gradient for my lifestyle, so I turned here. It took a couple of tries to find the sweet spot, and fortunately they let me return the uncomfortable pair without issue. These landed in my mailbox today and are perfect.
It would've cost hundreds or more in doctor's visits plus the cost of overpriced frames in order to match this quality. And they look great too. The power gradient is perfect. I do recommend the premium progressive lenses as I did try the economy option a few years ago and was disappointed. But these are very well balanced, easy to see at any angle. The oil resistant coating (which I need badly) works great too. Overall possibly one of the best pairs of spectacles I've ever used, distance or reading.
