Zenni  & Bulls Tipoff “Framing the Future” Community Initiative

Last week, we were excited to launch our Chicagoland community program “Framing the Future” in partnership with the Chicago Bulls and the Chicago Park District’s After-school Program. During the kick-off event at Fosco Park in Chicago, 200 students from the Park Kids After School Program took part in a pep rally featuring Benny the Bull, who debuted his own children’s book for storytime, and players from the Chicago Bulls.

“Framing the Future” is a multi-year initiative aimed enhance the Park Kids After School Program, which serves thousands of kids each year. As part of the initiative, Zenni will provide affordable eyewear and eye protection to the community, offer youth programming to help educate families on the importance of eye health, and enhance areas within Chicago Park District facilities across the city.

Along with the Bulls, Zenni plans to expand our impact on Chicago Park District after-school programming beyond storytime by hosting fitness classes, screening movies based on Bulls players’ favorites from their childhoods, refurbishing outdoor basketball courts with custom designs, establishing reading areas and programs at various parks throughout the city, and more. At least one park will host a special event lasting through the end of the NBA season that will culminate in a “Blokz Party” in June for the thousands of kids in the Park Kids After School Program.
