a month agoI'm a cheapskate. It pains me that as an nearsighted lad I am asked to pay >$100 for the same trendy mirrored polarized shades my wife buys for $25 -- but it pains me more when those expensive glasses are also of poor quality.
I recently had two pairs of prescription sunglasses from another vendor break in the same vacation week. In both cases the plastic in the frames became brittle and snapped. I can see the same future for the very expensive progressive lenses I purchased from that same company. So they're out of my life.
I had no expectations for Zenni other than the price seemed reasonable and the color on these tortoise frames looked like it would pair nicely with an orange mirror tint. The glasses that arrived are super stylish in a timeless way and seem to be of pretty high quality. The lenses are excellent as is the mirror finish. A girl at work said I had "good fit" yesterday, which I think means it's not just me who thinks they look good.
