best ever, but "retired"
5 years agoThis is my lifetime favorite frame, but after I bent them slightly by stepping on them, I reordered the closest I could find (#367530) which was white instead of silver. It's not nearly as attractive, because the nose piece stands out, whereas the 550111 was barely noticeable. PLEASE un-retire it!

Screw Fell Out, Lens scratched
6 years agoThese were great for about a month, then the screw holding the arm to the lens fell out when in the case and the arm then scratched the lens. I have a basic pair of these (no coatings, etc.) and they have been fine, but the second I splurge on all of the lens add-on's I get a pair that falls apart. I called Zenni and they would not stand behind it because it was a few days past warranty so I had to BUY a lens repair kit and pay for shipping. I would have gone elsewhere, but I had to make sure I could try to repair the glasses and was pretty sure I could not get these screws just anywhere. Done with Zenni.

Screws don't hold, frame components frequently detach from lenses
7 years agoFrame is light weight, feels good on, is fine in every way but one: The screws that attach the metal components to the lenses frequently loosen, and when this happens the lenses get floppy and don't sit right on your face. I've had these frames for just about one year, and I've had to tighten the screws dozens of times, often 2-3 times in a week. It's fortunate at least that the frames come with a mini screwdriver and a plastic envelope with lots of replacement screws, because you're sure going to need them. Several times the screws have loosened to the point of actually falling out, and of course then the frame/lens assembly falls apart. If you buy this frame, you should consider also acquiring a dictionary of curse words, because you're going to want every curse word there is as you try to pick up a tiny screw, place a tiny washer over the threaded portion and finagle this assembly into the threaded recess in the frame and try to tighten the screw securely while not going too far and cracking the lens. If you can keep your composure while performing this operation, you probably qualify for sainthood.

Screw fell out, eyeglass arm fell off
7 years agoHad these about two months and the screw that holds the eyeglass arm fell out. Not only will Zenni NOT fix it, they charged me $6 for a repair kit plus another $5 shipping. Since the arm became detached while the glasses were in the case, one of my lenses is now badly scratched. I used to be a big Zenni fan, but I see that my trust in them making a good pair of glasses was misguided. Rimless Zenni’s are a Waste of money. Also getting any Zenni with the basic coatings is a mistake. I’ve had to toss two pairs of glasses that I have had for about two years the coatings are wearing out and I cannot get the lenses clean any longer. The lenses were just blurry, losing fathom this company really quickly.
