2 years agoFinally had to break down and buy bifocals. Poor old me. The only problem was that the computer screen was out of focus. It was too close for the regular lens and too far for the bifocal lenses. A google search brought me to a Zinni website page explaining how to modify my prescription to create a pair of single vision computer glasses. Within minutes I had created an account, entered my modified prescription, used the website to calculate my PD, chose some cheap frames and ordered. They arrived today and I am more than impressed. The screen is now sharp and clear. Tested them out by doing two crossword puzzles. No more squinting or leaning forward to bring the screen into focus for my bifocals.
Total cost about $24. The plastic frames feel pretty solid. If they hold up, I might order a pair of prescription sunglasses (single vision) for driving.
I've never ordered online glasses before. This may have opened a whole new world for me.
