Progressive placement tricky by mail order
7 years agoMy sister recommended Zenni to me; she has been more than happy with several pairs of glasses she has ordered here. I tried twice, and both times, the progressive correction was too low in the lenses. Progressive correction is placed a certain measurement above the bottom edge of the lens--this is called the segment height. It will be different on every pair of glasses, depending on how deep the lens is, and will also be different for each wearer, depending on how the frames fit your head, and where on the lens your pupils fall. It is not part of the prescription, and cannot be measured without having the glasses actually on your face. Zenni uses a standard segment height. This probably works for some. But it didn't work for me. And this was an expensive lesson for me, since Zenni only gives a 50% refund.
I will say, both frames were very good quality.

7 years agoI am so happy with these glasses! I had initially messed up the prescription but I was able to return them for free and get a store credit to re-order them with the correct prescription.
These are great quality glasses! Super sturdy and well designed. I just LOVE them! My sister has ordered cheaper Zenni’s in the past and they’re more flimsy so I’m glad the quality matches the price for these ones. So worth it. Thanks Zenni!

I added the 1.61 Photochromic Digital Free Form Progressive - Amber and anti-reflective and still only paid a 3rd of what I paid before. My progressive prescription fit perfectly. Very happy with my purchase.
